Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Yixin Network Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Crystal Identifier: Rock & Gem mobile application (the "App"), an app that identifies rocks, crystals, minerals, and gemstones from photos. We designed the App to collect as little as possible: there are no accounts, and we never ask for your name, email, phone number, or any other identifying information.
What We Do Not Collect
- No account or sign-in of any kind.
- No name, email address, phone number, or contact details.
- No advertising and no advertising SDKs.
- No location data, contacts, or device address book.
Photos You Choose to Identify
When you take or select a photo to identify, the image is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our identification service and to the third-party AI model provider that powers the identification, for the sole purpose of analyzing the image and returning a result to you.
- Photos are processed transiently to generate the result. We do not store your photos on our servers after the result is returned.
- Photos are not linked to your identity, are not used to build a profile of you, and are not sold or shared for advertising.
- Any photos and results you choose to save are kept locally on your device in the App's collection, not on our servers.
Only the photos you explicitly submit for identification are transmitted. The App does not scan or upload your photo library in the background.
Anonymous Device Identifier
To provide a limited number of free identifications and to prevent abuse of the service, the App generates a random anonymous identifier (a UUID) on your device the first time it runs and sends it with identification requests so the service can count usage. This identifier is not your account, is not tied to your Apple ID, name, or any personal information, and cannot be used to identify you personally. It is removed when you delete the App.
Subscriptions & Purchases
The App offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions ("Crystal Pro", billed weekly or yearly) that unlock unlimited identifications and additional features. All payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, access, or store your payment details or any personal information related to the purchase. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles that data.
Local Data
The App stores your saved collection, settings, and usage counters locally on your device so it can function. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed when you delete the App.
Children's Privacy
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It has no accounts, no advertising, no social features, and no user-generated content shared with others. Because we collect no personal data, we collect none from children either.
Your Choices
You can stop all data transmission at any time by not submitting photos for identification, and you can remove all locally stored data by deleting the App. You may manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple ID account settings.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how the App handles data, we will update this Privacy Policy and revise the effective date above. Updates are posted at this page before they take effect.
